Creole Restaurant in the heart of Astoria with a vintage vibe and southern flavors!

The staff was super nice and the food tastes so amazing. I had a chicken and macaroni and cheese (cant remember the actual name) po'boy and it was so amazing. The fried chicken baskets were also fantastic. 10/10 would definitely go there again

So tasty. The surf n turf po boy is to die for. And I always love me some homemade banana pudding! Drinks are creative and delicious too!

I can't tell you how much I love this place. I came here for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. Had a party of 17 and can you believe they accommodated at the last minute. The food was freaking amazing!!! It was sooooo good and service was 5 stars!!! Come here! We had mac, oysters, hush puppies, chicken and waffles and honestly so much i cant remember but the food was great. Thanks for having me!

Amazing food and Louisiana vibe. The staff is great and the decor is so unique (especially the bathrooms!) pretty rowdy brunch.

Great time at Sugar Freak. I have been wanting to come here for a long time. We some great outdoor seating which was perfect for a date. Its definitely a good place for a big crowd since it’s on the louder side in the restaurant. We had the traditional Louisiana dishes, Jumbalaya, Po Boys, Deviled Eggs and Hushpuppies. They were all very good. The meals had all the right amount of spice. The Po Boys could have a little more meat and Mac n cheese. Service was fast and the waitress was sweet. Overall it was a great experience here and would recommend it to anyone!
